Emma Corrie Design and Event Planner in Barbados

About Emma

Born in New Zealand into a diplomatic family, Emma was fortunate to have traveled the world during her formative years, experiencing life and culture in a number of exotic destinations, ranging from Thailand in the east to the Bahamas in the west.

Arts & Culture

In between her globe-trotting, Emma attended formal training in theatre and dance at one of the UK’s leading arts education schools, followed by an Advanced Level certification in theatre studies.

It is this worldly vision of art, theatre, culture and lifestyle that Emma brings to her events, designing breathtaking environments in which clients and their guests can celebrate all manner of occasions from weddings to corporate galas.

Celebrity Weddings

The reputation which she has earned as a result of this, has resulted in her having been selected to design and create settings for a number of high profile weddings, including that of world famous golfer Tiger Woods, which was hailed by the international press as ‘The Wedding of the Year’ in 2004.

As owner of the bespoke design house Emma Corrie Designs, Emma has also been involved in the production of several destination events alongside world-renowned designers such as Colin Cowie and Preston Bailey and in May 2013 she had lead responsibility for the production of a celebrity wedding which was produced in association with Martha Stewart Weddings.

In Her Spare Time

Lavish celebrity nuptials aside, Emma spends much of her time designing settings for both small, intimate gatherings as well as large corporate galas in her role as Design Director at Events Unusual, one of the Caribbean’s leading event design companies.
